The theme of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work was ‘Join in Building a Culture of Prevention on Occupational Safety & Health’. Booths were on display to demonstrate information about EHSMS, and were designed and manned by employees to share their knowledge, participation and contribution in the successful implementation to EHSMS.

Through the protection of workers, the system also protects patients, visitors, suppliers, communities and other members of the public impacted by the SKMC workplace environment and activities. SKMC has had an approved EHSMS since 2012 and is continually assessing and improving their EHSMS system for the protection of the environment as well as their workers.

Active participation of SKMC employees and contractors in this awareness day demonstrates abundant communication and consultation in working together as a team to ensure EHSMS is fully implemented at SKMC,” said Dr. Aref Al Shehhi, Deputy CEO, SKMC.

SKMC, managed by Cleveland Clinic, is part of the SEHA Health System and owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company PJSC (SEHA), which is responsible for the curative activities of all the public hospitals and clinics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
