Mental Health Awareness Week 2015
Starting today (11 May) and running until 17 May the week will see events across the country focus on
mindfulness, an integrative, mind-body based training that helps people to change the way they think and feel about their experiences - especially stressful experiences – and is recommended as a treatment for people with mental health problems.
Starting today events include:
• drop in centres
• open days
• mindfulness sessions
• consultation groups
• many, many more…
Since the first Mental Health Awareness Week back in 2000 the Mental Health Foundation has helped generate public debates around how anxiety, sleep deprivation and exercise can impact our mental health.
